The book Million Dollar Throw by Mike Lupica is based on a story about the main character Nate who's life is football. Mostly the story has been taken on the field where Nate plays football. Nate plays on a football team but Nate was actually a decsent player. The problem was that he had to practice almost every day for an up coming competition, Nate struggled during those days. Nate never gave up even if he had to face many obstacles.
This book sends a message to all the people who read it. Never give up with your dreams even when If you win or loose or make it or not you still tried. Nate relates to me because i never gave up with my dreams and so didn't he.
I connected to this story because its a story about a normal kid with a normal life and big dreams so do many kids who read this book just like me. Practicing and practicing will get you better and ready but if you dont succeed you still tried your best and if you did succeed you have conquered your dreams.

Heat by Mike Lupica
The book Heat by Mark Lupica can connect with many kids just like me. The main character Michael connects with me because he never thought he was any good at the sport baseball. Michael stepped up on the mound and pitched the ball, it went straght passed the home plate for a strike which made Michael think that he had a chance to be a pitcher in baseball.
The theme of this book, Heat by Mike Lupica is to never give up or keep persisting. The theme connects to me because I used to play baseball, I started out really bad and after a year of training and practice I soon became a great baseball player in my age league which made myself and my family very proud. Soon I found out that I was talented at many other sports.
